Team 64 player Sigrid Sandum defended her title at the Norwegian Championship and now have three consecutive wins. Having the tournament in her own backyard really kept her motivated.
"I have set up a basket at my place, set up a training scheme and blogged about training and preparation ahead of the competition", Sigrid says.
She grabbed the lead in round 1 – but a setback in round 2 left Sigrid and veteran Lydie Hellgren were tied for the lead. At round 3 Sigrid made her move.
"After some self-evaluation and advice from my closest contributors, I realized that I play at my best when I’m having fun. This realization gave me a good third round. My Mercy’s gave me the safety I needed for short and narrow shots, and around the basket. My Escape and Flow helped me stay inside the tight OB-lines on the longer holes on a windy and demanding championship course. My third round set me up with a comfortable 6 stroke lead heading into the final round", Sigrid says.
The final round ended in a comfortable win.
"The perfect ending of the tournament for my part, was hitting a perfect drive with my first Latitude love, the Gold Fury. It helped me achieve my goal of defending my title as Norwegian Champion", Sigrid says.
In the open division Team Latitude 64:s Anders Danielsen finished tied for 6th and Lars Somby finished at 16th.
